The Great Chalk Drawings of 2020

During the summer of 2020, in the height of lockdown, my son and I found joy and routine in sidewalk chalk. He was obsessed with movies—watching the same characters on repeat—and would ask me to draw them on the driveway. It became our little tradition on sunny days: I'd grab the chalk, and he'd excitedly pick the next character.
